As part of the Queensland Government reform plan, the Certificate 3 Guarantee is designed to give eligible Queenslanders access to a government-subsidised training place, leading to employment outcomes or to enhance career progression. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to receive subsidised training, participants must meet the Eligibility Criteria:

Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, residing in Queensland

Be over the age of 15 (Security Industry requires the participant to be 18)

Not be a secondary or full-time student

Not already hold a post-school Certificate III qualification or higher

Not be currently enrolled in a post-school Certificate III or higher qualification.

Be a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency.
Certificate III qualifications completed at school are not counted.
Employment status does not matter, eligible students may be job seekers, or currently employed on a full-time, part-time or casual basis.
The course is delivered over a 3 (three) week period of which the first week is dedicated to studying online/self-paced pre-course material, followed by 2 (two) week of face to face training. Students will be required to complete after hour’s research and case studies. Teamwork and team learning skills are encouraged in the classroom. You will be required to have reasonable computer skills and have access to reliable internet and email services.
Payment Information
The Student Contribution fee represents the total non-government subsidised portion of essential training costs for the participant to complete the qualification. Full payment is payable on enrollment of the course.
Course: CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations
Non-concessional students
The Student Contribution Fee for a non-concessional student is;
Total: $50.00 for Full Qualification or $ 3.47 per Unit of Competency

Concessional Students

The holder of a Health Care concession card
-
Partner or dependent of a person holding a Health Care or concession card

The holder of a Pensioner Concession Card and your name appears on the card
The Student Contribution Fee for a concessional student is;

Concessional students: Total: $30 for Full Qualification or $2.14 per unit Competency for concessional
A fee concession will apply when the participant is responsible for payment of the student contribution fee.
Qualifications
It is important that potential participants are aware that the Certificate 3 Guarantee subsidised training is being provided for one qualification only.
Participants are advised to investigate the Course Outlines in order to make an informed choice about using the funding for the courses we are offering.
The following Nationally Recognised qualifications are available with SDS Training and Security under the Certificate 3 Guarantee program:

INFORMATION FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS ONLY
SDS is not CRICOS Registered, therefore, overseas students who have a subclass visa 500 are not eligible to join our courses (this is a Government guideline).
